Fulong Ski Resort
Chongli's home of night skiing
About Fulong Ski Resort
The resort sits on the north face of Fulong Mountain, where the summit reaches 1,760 metres and the slopes fall 530 metres vertically across gradients of 5-35 degrees. Sheltered by mountains on three sides and open to water on the fourth, Fulong has built a reputation for warm and remarkably wind-free skiing conditions.
Snowmaking covers around 1.6 million square metres. The master plan sets out 52 trails: roughly 1.2 million square metres with a maximum drop of 482 metres in phase one, plus a further 400,000 square metres with a 530 metre drop in phase two. Lifts from the French manufacturer Poma combine gondolas and chairlifts, and the resort can host around 10,000 guests at one time.
Fulong was the first resort in Chongli to open for night skiing, with lifts running until 21:30. A 25,000 square metre children's snow play area comes with a dedicated teaching zone, and the 170,000 square metre snow park spreads its features across a wide range of rider levels. A planned 3.6 kilometre cable car will link the town centre directly to the summit, where the Chongli Eye rises from the ridge line - a leisure complex of restaurants, hotel rooms, meeting facilities and an observatory developed with the National Astronomical Observatories, covering 10,037 square metres. From the top, guests look west over Chongli town and across the mountain ranges to the south and east.
At the base, a 45,000 square metre ski service hall brings equipment rental, the sports academy and dining together under one roof.
